Olrau is a county on the western peninsula. Its northern border extends beyond the Furcă River, and its southern pushes into the Beznă Forest. These borders represent only the area settled by Olrau's people, as it shares a border with no other organized state.
Olrau was founded in 398 by House Draşov, following Răscu Draşov's failed coup against the crown in Myrne. House Draşov has held the countship since, and the nine families that chose exile with him became the Elector Barons.
Olrau itself is an unforgiving place. The land is mountainous and the soil is thin. Most of the people live within a day's ride of one of the nine baronial castles, where they can quickly find shelter should orcs raid from the south.
