The Ditani were a race of beings that were created by Life during the Sundering. They erected great cities, created great works of art, and made great scientific advances. 

Physically the Ditani were about 8 feet tall. They had large, bulbous heads from which their extremities extended. 

Death created the [[Ageshkir]] to annihilate the Ditani.

The Ageshkir created the weapon races to use in their war against the Ditani. The Ditani were crushed, and their cities cast down. During a great final battle in the city of [[Sumuta]] the Ditani made a deal with the demon [[Damunga]] to strike down the Ageshkir in exchange for their lives, a last ditch effort to save the world from darkness. Damunga fulfilled his obligation. The Ditani found extinction, the Ageshkir were killed, and the weapon races were turned loose on the world.

Ditani cities can still be found in the frozen wastes of the north, where advancing glaciers have preserved them.
